What is hormone therapy?
Main Street Medical is proud to offer Natural Hormone Therapy for Men & Women featuring BioTe® Pellets. Replacing diminished hormones such as Thyroid, DHEA, Estrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone in men and women can not only slow the aging process but also the occurrence of age-related chronic diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, osteoporosis and heart disease. Biote hormone pellets
Bioidentical hormone replacement pellet therapy is a personalized, natural approach to hormone replacement. It allows a patient’s body to absorb the right level of hormones at the right time, via a delivery method the body can process efficiently and that eliminates the potential for human error at the patient end.
Pellets are small capsules, about the size of a grain of rice, that contain bioidentical hormones. A bioidentical hormone is the exact molecular structure of hormones the body produces naturally.
They are inserted under the skin, where the hormones enter the bloodstream as they dissolve over several months. Our studies show that patients may see the effects of hormone optimization four weeks after a pellet insertion.
Hormones delivered by pellet therapy bypass the liver, do not affect clotting factors, do not increase the risk of thrombosis, and avoid the fluctuations of hormone levels seen with other methods of delivery, like pills, creams, gels, and synthetic injections. BioTE® bioidentical hormone pellets are made from soy or the yam plant to create estradiol and/or testosterone molecules, unlike synthetic hormones, which are made from animal parts or urine and have a different molecular structure than what the body produces.

BioTe Pellet procedure
Women typically require pellet placement every 3-4 months to maintain optimal hormone levels. Men typically require pellet placement every 4 - 6 months to maintain optimal hormone levels

Available as part of our Comprehensive Hormone Replacement Program, prescription creams, troches, tablets and capsules provide a daily form of hormone replacement in easy to use, compounded, formulations. Additional supplements and non-compounded medications are available for purchase separately.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
Available for male patients only as part of our Comprehensive Hormone Replacement Program, testosterone injections result in immediate absorption for rapid symptom improvement. Injections are provided weekly or bi-weekly depending upon patient needs.

Hormone services are available to DPC Members and Non-Members.
**Fees for hormone therapies do not include cost for associated vitamins/supplements that may be recommended by your provider to support your treatment protocol. DPC Members receive a 20% discount on published pricing and have the option to pay a la carte for BioTe Pelleting. Inquire for pricing and more information. A la carte pricing for BioTe Pelleting does not include follow up laboratory testing.
